Yangwang U8 off-road version to conquer the top off-road “Kerya” part 2

The e⁴ Platform carried by U8 is a power system driven by four motors as the core. This system has inherent advantages in kerya off-road.

Because of the  electric drive, the U8 will not weaken on the plateau as in fuel vehicles. 

And each wheel is controlled by a motor, a single wheel skid, will not affect the other wheels.

This time , the U8 chose the reverse crossing, going from Tibet to Xinjiang.

 Countercrossing means that the route is difficult before easy, 

The first thing to enter the Kerya Ancient Road is the high altitude glacier, frozen soil, snow and steep slope, 

and the cold climate even forms a rare "frozen hill", which also makes this route difficult to travel, 

and there are cross axis everywhere.

Generally, off-road vehicles take this road, all have to cut to the four-wheel drive, and may even need to hang a differential lock.

But e⁴ Platform has a different way, 

The four wheel of U8 have motor independent control, no traditional differential structure, 

the wheels do not interfere with each other, individual wheels skid not only do not need to open the differential lock, 

even do not need to limit skid participation, can ensure that the wheel power with adhesion is not lost without interruption.

For example, in this small cross axis condition,

you can see the U8 flying in the left front wheel and the right rear wheel slipping in the mud, 

while the other two wheels can continuously output and easily pass through.

At the same time, the U8 is also equipped with two front and rear differential locks.

After hanging the lock, the two motors can drive a wheel with adhesion at the same time, 

doubling the ability to get out of difficulty in extreme cases.

The power of single motor of U8 covers 220kW-240kW, and the torque of single motor is 320 N·m-420N · m. 

The power of a single motor is not small. After locking, the power is directly doubled.

It's easy, just step on it and leave the rest to U8.
